My role includes educating students about the value of self-assessment. Before students start considering college options, they need to identify how they think, learn, study, and interact with others. Self-awareness is the backbone of finding the right colleges.

I'm Meredith Herlong:
College Advisor, Career Counselor, Life Coach
I'm a life-long learner, a career educator and mentor who is passionate about helping people, adults and adolescents alike, find what they need to achieve their goals. To me, life coaching is just that: being an advocate for you, someone who can give you meaningful insight and guidance on the complicated path to success and happiness. Choosing a college is a sacred journey in itself.
Having served in the public sector for most of my life, I've seen paths go in all directions. It's my greatest calling to facilitate growth and happiness in others. My work is to educate others; I also have committed to continuously educate myself. Education unites. Ignorance divides. The college advising community is connected by a vision of building an informed and compassionate society. I am a member of IECA and SACAC, which all provide exceptional resources for us to share with students and their families.
My primary role is to serve as a knowledge source and guide, providing you with the information you need in order to make decisions that shape the rest of your life.
I have recently partnered with POM College Consultants, who help families pay for college. They also have an array of college admissions specialists that assist in all facets of the process. POM stands for Peace of Mind. I also have a college partner - Ms. Greta Fritz. She is an art major at the University of West Florida. Please take a moment to review her personal platform.
